Reservations

All reservations must be made in advance.

There is a 24-hour notification for cancellations of reservations.

Health & Safety
-
All dogs must be in good health and to the owner's knowledge not exposed to any contagious or communicable illness within 30 days prior to check-in.
-
Dogs must possess a temperament that allows staff members to be able to properly care for them. Allowances may be made for specific temperament issues, but dogs cannot pose a danger to our staff.

Age Requirements
-
Dogs must be a minimum of 10 weeks old and have their first 2 sets of shots including bordetella.

Puppies over 18 weeks old must be fully vaccinated.

Keep in mind dogs of any age with medical issues in a public setting pose a risk to viral illnesses. Always consult with your veterinarian if you have questions!

Check-in is Monday - Sunday by appointment.

Sundays have limited availability.

Vaccination Reqs

All dogs are required to have the following vaccinations:

Rabies (1 or 3 year vaccine)​

DHLPP/DHPP (1 or 2 year)

Bordetella: annual (1st one has to be 2 weeks before boarding)​​

Heartworm test

Proof of vaccinations must be emailed to boarding@wellingtonhumanesociety.org or have a copy at check-in.​

Cancellation Fees
-
If you cancel your reservation within 24 hours of your check-in date/time, then we will charge a $25 cancellation fee.

We are often full during holidays and have a waitlist.

Pricing

All sizes of dogs: $25 each per night.

Members do receive a special discount rate based on membership level.

Facility Information
-
Each guest has a personal outdoor run they can access. Walks are given up to 3 times per day in our play yard and/or dog park.
-
Soothing background music plays throughout the kennel area. Music is a proven way to help your dog relax and reduce stress while away from home.

Pets are locked inside safely each night.

We Care!

The Boarding Kennels are separated from our shelter kennels.
-
We have a separate outside run and yard for boarding dogs as well.
-
Volunteers are not allowed in the boarding kennels and only our staff interacts with boarding dogs.

We do our best to ensure the safety and health of your furry family member!
Add-Ons
We have several things that you can add to your pet's stay. Each has additional pricing and all are optional.
