About this Project

Reading and writing are core skills for everyone! Creating and writing Christmas Cards is an excellent way for children and adults to share some holiday cheer and practice writing skills while practicing empathy for animals, creativity, and creating awareness for our shelter! This is also an activity that is inexpensive and fun! This project would be a neat activity for classrooms, families, childcare centers, and assisted living facilities.

Anyone is welcome to participate! We will share some of the cards on our social media outlets when they arrive. If you are a local classroom and would like to visit in person, you can schedule a time in December by calling or emailing.

If you would like to do a gift, we always love that! There is a list of items HERE if you need help with ideas. We also have a Christmas Tree located at Orscheln's in Wellington you can pick an animal to purchase gifts for now until Christmas.
